Adoptions
Golden Huggs places dogs in the following states:  Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Maine and Vermont.

While pursuing to adopt a Golden Huggs dog, we ask that you understand there is a process that must be followed. Every adoption application must be completely filled out. Once a completed application has been sent back to us, it is then brought before our review board for approval. Every Rescue has rules and regulations regarding adoptions.
If you are uncertain with any of ours please do not hesitate to ask questions.  Please carefully read the application for additional important information about the adoption process.

All of our adoptable dogs are vetted prior to adoption. They all have been spayed or neutered. All dogs are up to date (UTD) on their shots, inoculations, and vaccines. They all have been tested for heartworm, if found positive, they are treated; if found negative, they are started on a preventative.

Veterinarians give all the dogs complete examinations. The dogs often do not come with any history. Therefore, the veterinarians that examine these dogs try their best to estimate age. If there are any obvious medical conditions to see or feel, they will be treated at that time. It is our goal that through our adoption process and our home visits, that we will be able to determine and help select the most suitable dog for each individual family.
